The AASLE will be able to provide some fee waivers to PhD students and attendees from low-income countries upon application depending on the available funding. Registration includes attendance to all sessions of the conference, including morning and afternoon refreshments, lunch, attendance to the welcome reception, the conference dinner, the conference handbook and a name badge. Registered accompanying persons can participate in the welcome reception (on Thursday, 13 December) and attend the conference dinner (on Friday, 14 December). Regrettably we cannot accommodate individual preferences for presentation times.

For local participants : Due to Korean government regulations, attendees with a billing address in South Korea cannot use PayPal to make payments. Please refer this guide(click) to explain what steps you would need to take to register for the conference. Registration payments will not be refunded in case of cancellations.

Cancelling your accommodation

Any cancellation fees will be subject to the hotel cancellation policy.


Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. It is recommended that participants take out their own general travel insurance. It is suggested that the insurance policy should also cover loss of fees/deposit, airfares, accommodation charges, medical expenses, loss or damage to personal property and repatriation expenses. The insurance should cover loss arising from the cancellation of the conference by the organisers or a person’s inability to attend due to any reason whatsoever. No responsibility is taken by the conference managers for any person not holding insurance.


When you are planning your visit to South Korea, please consider whether you need to apply for a visa and requirements for the visa application, your obligations while in South Korea and information about complying with the conditions of your visa.
